"We have used Scallywags school for dogs for the last two years. We have two wonderful labradoodles, Bonnie who is 4 years old and Monty who is 5 months. Bonnie came to Scallywags after we struggled to keep her focused, she was hyperactive and showed signs of frustration as her energy wasn't being directed in the right way.
My confidence was low but together with the help of Claire and the team, we had 1-1 sessions and were introduced to the group classes. What I learnt was invaluable and it strengthened my relationship with Bonnie. We'd had such a difficult time but with the support and knowledge we turned it around.

On the beach this morning. Toby was a star, thank you so much for the amazing recall class. He was off the lead for most of the time and was so good. He did not bark at any dogs either or people, we kept a distance but such a major improvement.

I took Bosco to his first session for reactive dogs. I was worried but I shouldn't of been, Claire looked after us and guided us through with support and advice. Yesterday I took Jazz to our first companion class. We had so much fun and it was great to see how much she's grown up since our last recall class in the autumn. It was a really lovely way to 'work' around other dogs and helping Jazz to realise that every dog that's around does not need to be jumped at, barked at, walked towards, or in Gru's case, have his beard tugged at! Gru is Jazz's best buddy and she was able to walk past him and respond to me. Anyone who knows their relationship will know what a huge achievement that is. There seems to be an assumption out there that it's cruel to not let your dogs meet on a lead, or not to give them every opportunity to 'play', but with the help of everyone at Scallywags, Jazz is growing in confidence and able to cope rather than blow her mind every time she sees another dog. The companion class was so rewarding for both of us. That was apparent in how exhausted Jazz was when we got home yesterday, despite having done very little physically. I had to have a snooze too! Thanks, Scallywags!

We got Mollie as an adult rescue. She's lovely and friendly, but a too much so and she got hyper excited at seeing other dogs. It took us 6 months of working with Clare and Nat, both privately and during companion group lessons before we could join in. Nat spent an entire lesson with us the first time we attended on a Saturday, and Clare let us wander around the field clicking and rewarding for calm behaviour all that time without charging us for the use of her field and other people's dogs! Now thanks to their patience and support Mollie has completed all of her levels in Companion class, and we now go just because we both enjoy it so much. Thank you all at Scallywags.

Just had our 3rd beginner agility group lesson at Scallywags and our little shy Papillon, Reggie is absolutely loving it. The instruction is first class and a lot of emphasis is on having fun and our dogs enjoying it. As we take it in turns to do the exercises the instructors give each of us their full attention and offer us advice and tips to improve next time round. By the end of the third week our Reggie has managed to jump four jumps in a row, run through a long tunnel and go up and down an A-frame. Each of these we'd never have believed he would do so early on and his confidence is growing all the time. He loved it all and we are all excited for our next lesson. Thank you very much!
